 On Saturday, April 5, 2003 Creation Entertainment and 200 fans from around the world embarked on the first annual Creation Cruise, which was a Salute to the Strong Women of Sci Fi. The event was held on the gorgeous Norwegian Dawn, newest ship in the NCL fleet, and at selected ports along the 7 day Caribbean adventure. Embarking from the Port of Miami, things got off to a great start with a cocktail party Saturday night where attendees, Creation staff and our wonderful attending celebrities partied. From there on it was two days at sea, enjoying ourselves with events in the beautiful three tiered Stardust Showroom and at group dining in the Aqua restaurant. Our first port of call was San Juan, Puerto Rico. |

 | San Juan is a mix of old and new, industry and recreation. It only hints at the true beauty of Puerto Rico, but is a complex, bustling city. |
| The Old Forts that line the shore of one side of the island date back to the early 1500s, a product of King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella's imperial ambitions for Spain. Virtually impregnable, they have withstood 500 years of attacks by varying colonial empires. They are a truly historic set of sites. Sadly, a truckers strike prevented us from offering the tour excursion we had planned and we were warned to be careful catching rides into the city for fear that we wouldn't get back to the boat in time. |  |

 | In addition to Puerto Rican rum, the local bartenders mix a mean Marguerita made with green lemons that are blended and strained. Just the right pick me up for a hot tropical afternoon. |
| Old San Juan with its cobblestone streets, narrow pathways, hills, nooks and crannies has lots of charm - and great shopping. |  |
 | Later that day, when we got back on board, we were treated to a special treat: the great Hudson Leick and Danielle Cormack delivered a fabulous "Vagina Monologues" performance that rocked the Showroom. Their inspired work was a highlight of the week. |

 | The next morning we awoke to find ourselves docked in beautiful St. Thomas, overlooking the horseshoe bay of Charlotte Amalie. Many of us were scheduled for the Sailing and Snorkeling Adventure and it proved to be just that. One of the boats was a big catamaran and we sailed out of the harbor that day for "a three hour tour". |
