The vast majority of our guest celebrities take questions from the audience during their on-stage time. Therefore it is incumbent upon those that ask questions to make them ones that allow our mutual shared time with the celebrities to be enjoyable, interesting and entertaining for all (including the guest). Asking for hugs, telling stars we love them (we all do, that's why we're here), giving gifts (you can do this at photo ops), getting into long personal stories, or worse, is not acceptable for this format and, in fact, is quite self-centered when you are in essence "representing" all of fandom to a celebrity. Join us in trying to make this convention the best entertainment for everyone!

Convention Events

AUTOGRAPH ROOM At the LAS VEGAS convention attendees will have the opportunity to meet some of the fantastic celebrities we've enjoyed over the years in various Star Trek incarnations. These guests usually have booths in the vending room where they have photos and other collectibles on view and sale. They often offer their autographs for a nominal fee. They make their own hours so we can't confirm when they will be at the convention, but generally since the Vegas event is so big the majority are there for the whole weekend. We also try to have a couple of panels during the weekend where these stars get to reminisce about working on Star Trek and other credits on their acting resumes. Those events are always worth attending! LOIS JEWELL - Drusilla in "Bread and Circuses" from TOS and an appearance on The Flying Nun LAWRENCE MONTAIGNE - Decius in "Balance of Terror" and Stonn in "Amok Time" (a role he reprised in Tim Russ's Of Gods and Men), both from TOS, as well as The Great Escape and Escape from Witch Mountain, among his many credits. He has recently published an autobiography, A Vulcan Odyssey. CELESTE YARNALL - Yeoman Martha Landon in "The Apple" from TOS WILLIAM WELLMAN, JR. - Bajoran Security Officer in "Favor the Bold" from DS9. Bill has recently published a book about his famous director father titled A Man and his Wings NATALIJA NOGULICH - Admiral Alynna Necheyev in six episodes of TNG and DS9, plus scores of other TV and film credits STEPHEN MANLEY - the young Spock from Star Trek III: The Search for Spock plus loads of credits as a child star TANIA LEMANI GEORGE - Kara in classic Star Trek's "Wolf in the Fold"

TUESDAY NIGHT 9:00 PM The Chocolate Fantasy WELCOMING PARTY! On the night of our pre-registration, get that done, and that get your Star Trek party on as we pump up the anticipation by opening the festivities with an all-out Chocolate Lovers Party: filled with delighfully sinful and delicious desserts! And, this year, we're throwing in a complimentary alcoholic beverage (or soft drink) to blast off the night's fun and a cash bar keeps it going. Last year the wonderful Tim Russ joined us with some of his outstanding music, and there was Karaoke with major prizes, and some cool surprises too! We're sure to have some cool special events this time around as well. The evening will also feature guest composer Ron Jones conducting The Star Trek: The Next Generation Suite. This dynamic and inspiring performance is included on a complimentary basis for our GOLD WEEKEND and CAPTAIN'S CHAIR PACKAGE PATRONS. THE RUSS CLARKE - HYPNOTIC TREK ADVENTURE Russ Clarke Tours, performing his hysterical show “The Russ Clarke Comedy Stage Hypnosis Show”. DAILY NO MINIMUM BID AUCTIONS Each day of the convention will feature a fast-paced fun filled no minimum auction which offers attendees the opportunity to pick up great Star Trek and sci-fi media collectibles at a fraction of their true value. Much of the material is hand-signed by celebrities and these auctions prove to be a great place to purchase autographed items because you know that they are legitimate and gotten through deals that Creation has with the stars when they appear at our conventions.

2007 STAR TREK MUSIC VIDEO COMPETITION Fan-created music videos are a huge craze and as usual, Star Trek fans were there first. With passion and creativity Trekkers have produced some amazing short films that are always a highlight of the Las Vegas Convention. Our annual STAR TREK FAN MUSIC VIDEO COMPETITION is ON! Rules: one music video about STAR TREK may be submitted on DVD only (please no computer-based media like CD accepted). PLEASE USE ONLY NTSC FORMAT FOR YOUR DVD. Entries are judged on the following criteria: video quality, audio quality, editing quality, inventiveness, song selection, and originality. Humorous submissions are encouraged. Entries can not be returned, and person submitting entry is granting Creation the right to play this entry in perpetuity at Creation events worldwide and/or on line at the Creation website(s). Creation does not sell music videos so your entry will never be sold as a commercial product, just presented at our events/on line. Winners will receive a $100 gift certificate good for Creation products. Winners will be announced and certificates awarded on site; if you are not present we will mail the certificate to you so be sure to include your return address, phone number and e mail. STAR TREK LAS VEGAS COSTUME CONTEST The Las Vegas STAR TREK Convention Costume Competition is truly amazing! An incredible array of costumes, make-ups and special effects: you guys know how to rock! And, of course, there is no better place to show off than Las Vegas! So get your talents in gear and get ready to vie for audience applause and our grand prize of a $1000 Creation Gift Certificate! There are many other prizes as well, and of course, special recognition for youngsters participating too. The Costume Competition is scheduled for Saturday of the convention and is generally held in late afternoon or early evening. You sign up during the day Saturday to participate. STAR TREK FEATURE FILM BUZZ The buzz is in: the upcoming STAR TREK feature film, scheduled to open XMAS day of 2008 is gonna be INCREDIBLE! Paramount Pictures has gone all out and gotten the very best team to run the ship: J.J. ABRAMS and his crew of super-talented guys! We just can't wait to see it all unfold on the big screen. STAR TREK comes roaring back to the top of pop culture, back where it belongs. STAR TREK Lives Large again! We'll be covering the new film at the LAS VEGAS Convention of course, specific details to come, but you know the entire convention will be "energized" with the anticipation of a big-budget, no expense spared movie that carries on the legacy of Gene Roddenberry and the beloved original crew of The Enterprise.

Creation Entertainment in Vegas: SURPRISES ARE ALWAYS EXPECTED! You never know what memory will be made at Creation events where it all happens LIVE for you! One of our best Vegas Star Trek Convention moments is pictured here when William Shatner and Patrick Stewart unexpectedly appeared on stage together. It had been 15 years since the last (and only other) time we pulled this off, back in NYC in the early 1990s. And then there was the time Leonard Nimoy was given a Creation Entertainment Lifetime Achievement Award by Bill Shatner and the rest of the original cast. For autograph collectors like us there is nothing better than actually seeing your item signed by celebrities in person. There is SO MUCH bootleg fraud stuff on eBAY in the sci-fi celebrity world that we should yell it from the rooftops: if you don't know the company you are buying from, don't! Certificates of authenticity are meaningless, really. That's why we love the fact that so many STAR TREK celebrities are signing in person at the Las Vegas Convention. We know our fellow fans are therefore protected. We've kept the prices for signatures as low as possible (based on the appearance and signing fees we are being charged by the celebrity) to allow our attendees to get what they need for their collections. Celebrities will sign any item you have (bring something from home or purchase a photo or souvenir at the convention). Each autograph ticket gets you ONE signature on an item, there is currently no limit on how many autograph tickets for a celebrity you can purchase. Please note that those celebrities noted in red ink are signing on a complimentary basis for Gold Weekend Package Patrons. Gold Patrons can purchase additional autographs with these celebrities and get everything signed when they first come up to the celebrity when called row by row.

The Hilton has been through a beautiful renovation as of late and is a great place for the convention. It is adjacent to the monorail which gets you to all the top Strip hotels and sites. Creation Entertainment holds a "block" of rooms for our attendees. These blocks of rooms have a lower rate than standard rates at the hotel, but they also have a "cut-off" point after which hotels may choose to revert back to their own higher rates for our customers. Usually this cut off date is one month prior to the event, but this does vary. Therefore it is always wise to book your rooms for our conventions as early as possible.
