General Hospital is a legendary show, indeed the longest running American soap opera still in production , with over 50 years on the air, thousands of episodes, hundreds of amazing characters, and one of the most watched moments in television history! What other series can say that three generations have lived the tales of it's characters set in the city of Port Charles? Not only does GH have an amazing past, but it has a bright future too! Stars are born on the series and the cast is always so full of talent, you're astonished with every episode. With 13 wins for most Daytime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Drama Series, it also is the longest-runnning entertainment program in ABC television history.

Wow! We couldn't be more excited to present the 2018 Official General Hospital Convention to everyone coming to visit Burbank. As fellow fans we look forward to being able to gather together and celebrate the incredible 55th Anniversary of General Hospital with all of you and fans from around the world who made the trip to be with us. By flying into Burbank you are literally steps from the convention host hotel and facility and of course LAX is not far either (just not walking distance!). Our hotel is recently remodeled and feaures an outdoor pool. great restaurants both within and in walking distance, beautiful bars and sitting areas. Certainly one of our favorite venues to run conventions in, we think you’ll really love it here and hope you stay a few extra days to enjoy this famous city.

In general, questions for our celebrities are taken from the audience at microphones in the front of the audience area. Yelling of questions from the audience is disruptive and rude to everyone present and may result in being asked to leave the theatre and convention. We ask that everyone respect their fellow attendees. 

Unlike so many other genre conventions, Creation Entertainment has a strict company policy not to "oversell" our conventions. In other words, every patron, no matter what bracket of ticket they purchase, will have a seat in the main auditorium where the major guests appear and events take place.

MK is famous for her pop trivia questions she asks on the tours with fantastic swag from the show which she awards to people who answer her questions. The tour takes place before convention hours, so you won't miss a minute of the show. And best of all, photo taking will be allowed on the sets!!

As a bit of background on your set host, M.K. Weir, producer and associate director, will be hosting the tour of the sets, and who has worked in daytime television for 25 years for companies such as Procter & Gamble, ABC, NBC and Aaron Spelling Productions. Positions have included Casting Associate, Production Assistant, P&G Writer Development Program, Associate Director and Producer. Her work includes these wonderful programs: ANOTHER WORLD, ONE LIFE TO LIVE, SUNSET BEACH, PASSIONS, DAYS OF OUR LIVES and of course: GENERAL HOSPITAL. We are so proud to have her on our team!

Guests must be 18 years of age or older to visit the sets. Complimentary round-trip bus transportation will be provided from the hotel lobby and you’ll be returned there in time for the convention activities to begin: Just imagine: you’ll see these amazingly famous sets in the historic studio and then have an entire convention to celebrate! We love it and thank ABC, Disney and the GH production crew for allowing us the treasured accomplishment to do this to thank their fans, including us. It goes without saying that not many series truly treasure their loyal fans as GH does!

Energetic, entertaining and super-fan friendly Matt Cohen (Griffin Munro) and Laura Wright (Carly Corinthos) are your Hosts for the entire weekend. MICHAEL FAIRMAN

One of the leading experts and personalities in the field of daytime drama, Michael Fairman returns to the GH Convention again this year as our panel moderator. As a journalist and host, soap fans know Michael best from his popular daily-updated website Michael Fairman On-Air On-Soaps (www.michaelfairmansoaps.com) which spotlights: in-depth interviews, breaking news, and special features.

Michael’s video interviews can also be found on his You Tube Channel, The Michael Fairman Channel, which features engaging conversations with the stars of daytime drama.

With over thirty-five years experience in the medium, Michael has been an innovator in the field developing new platforms. He was the executive producer of SoapCity.com for Sony Pictures Digital Entertainment, which was the first online platform of its kind spotlighting all the network soap operas. As a producer, he has been a part of over 14 Daytime Emmy Award ceremonies, and several Soap Opera Digest Awards.

Michael has a very special connection to the fans of daytime, and they to him, which has made him such a great ambassador for the genre.

Put your encyclopedic General Hospital knowledge to work in our famous Trivia Competitions!

There are three different types of trivia that we'll be playing throughout the weekend, all with a chance to win awesome prizes! First is our Yes/No Trivia competition where up to 90 people get the chance to try and be the last fan standing on stage through a difficult, but fun, barrage of questions. If you're the last fan standing you could win up to mega buck gift certificates yours to spend at the convention of special licensed GH merchandise.

In General Hospital Team Trivia, your team will be competing to get five correct answers in our themed quiz, and if you do, you win! Just be in the audience for a chance to play.

Stump The Experts: members of our audience are selected to answer trivia questions from the rest of the audience and can compete for hundreds of dollars in cash prizes!!

Normally when we run other conventions we suggest binge-watchng all the episodes so you’ll be ready to go home a prize winner, but clearly that isn’t possible with our GH contests so we are depending on true experts out there in the audience already. Participate and have fun: that’s always the key to any convention organized by Creation Entertainment and our true mandate.

The Christmas Blooper Reels: Our audience will be able to view the beloved Christmas blooper reels that production puts together for the cast! So you can see all of the funny mistakes and missed-takes, that happen on set. These are exclusively shown at the Official General Hospital convention for fans like you so what can we say but you gotta be there to check these out and thank you GH production team for allowing your most ardent fans see your miss-takes and mistakes in the spirt of fun. Autographs

In-person autographs from amazing celebrity guests like Maurice Benard, Matt Cohen, Laura Wright, Will DeVry, Kirsten Storms, Donnell Turner, Lisa LoCicero, James Patrick Stuart, Vinessa Antoine, Jacklyn Zeman, Kin Shriner, Leslie Charleson, and Bradford Anderson! Autographs for everyone included in Gold if purchased separately is a large part of the cost of the entire gold package, so you can see why Gold is considered quite the deal (and it also includes the SET VISITS too!) As autograph collectors ourselves we know the importance of knowing that your autographs are legitimate so no better way than to see them signed in person. We suggest keeping a note with your autographs stating when and where you received them (but don't write on the back of your autograph please as that sometimes shows through).

Priority Lines

See all the guests and events during the daytime where you have a non-reserved seat in the theatre. You get to participate in our preregistration times, and that is your choice, it is not a necessity. Of course you get access to the vendors area. ALL TICKETS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE AND NON-EXCHANGEABLE.




The show schedule is finalized the week of the convention due to flight itineraries and filming schedules of our celebrities. Convention activities will start Saturday after the conclusion of the set visits and all attendees returned to the hotel (between noon and 1 PM). If there are additional set visits on Sunday the same rule will apply, otherwise programming will begin at approximately 10 AM. Stage programming ends around 6:00 p.m. or 7:00 p.m. and autograph sessions begin after stage programming is complete for the day. This can run until 10:00 p.m. so PLEASE PLAN ACCORDINGLY! There is the Saturday Evening Musical show which means we try to start that by at least 10 pm when possible. Signings start later sometimes on Sundays, so we recommend that you plan to stay late or stay overnight if wou want to make sure you don’t miss anything. It is impossible to know what the convention attendance will be when first announcing. The final schedule is always posted on the WEDNESDAY PRIOR TO THE CONVENTION.

Our best advice is to plan for these time variabilities and check the schedule as soon as it is available.
