While we’re not landing spacecraft in Golden Gate Park, our engineers are developing next-generation structures for life on Mars, integrating autonomous flying vehicles that transport cargo and passengers into busy airspace, and creating robotic assistants that support space stations while astronauts are away. Grab a drink at our cash bar and enjoy the vocal stylings of both well-known jazz standards and nerdified originals! It takes place after the Rat Pack Saturday night performance. A convention pass is required to attend.

Robert Zubrin is an American aerospace engineer and author, best known for his advocacy of the manned exploration of Mars. Disappointed with the lack of interest from the government in Mars exploration and after the success of his book The Case for Mars as well as leadership experience at the National Space Society, Zubrin established the Mars Society in 1998. This is an international organization advocating a manned Mars mission as a goal, by private funding if possible. Join Robert for a discussion on Mars and his work. DAY: SATURDAY.

It’s a FREE EVENT, so you do not keep your same seats you had during the day as the first few rows are removed. There will be seats in the back if you prefer to sit. If you have a VIP pass or special needs, please come to the front of the line.

The Rat Pack tradition continues in San Francisco! This hilarious show travels back to the 1950s with our stars performing their version of the iconic Rat Pack, including song parodies written by ultra-talented Max Grodenchik. Along with Max, the Rat Pack also includes Jeffrey Combs, Casey Biggs, Ethan Phillips and Vaughn Armstrong.

PLAY TREK PINBALL in VENDORS ROOM & WATCH GUEST COMPETITION for CHARITY!
Battle the Borg, the Klingons, Nero, the Vengeance, and even Nomad! Square off against Q! Rescue crew personnel! Enter a space/time continuum! Power up the Enterprise’s warp drive! Presented for your enjoyment are several Star Trek-themed pinball and arcade games released through the many years of Star Trek’s storied history. Games have been generously provided by both local collectors and the organizers of the annual California Extreme Video and Pinball shows that features hundreds of pinball, video, and other types of arcade/amusement machines spanning many decades from the past to the present. Games are either set on “Free Play” or have a visible switch to add credits (no coins needed) and play is highly encouraged, but please be both respectful as these games are privately owned as well as remain mindful and play only one game if others are waiting.
PLUS, we'll have a competition on-stage with select guests and whoever gets the best score will win $1,000 donated to their favorite charity. Come cheer for your favorite star!

Take a break from exploring the galaxy of the Convention with a fun and creative room full of activities, including:

Star Trek Paintings

• Photo Op Mat Decorating: You can decorate an 11x14 photo mat using our supplies or you can bring your own.
• Beading Table: Make a beaded solar system bracelet and more using our beads and other charms.
• Photo Booth: Two photo booths available for unlimited digital photos, with daily changing green-screen backgrounds, including replica props.
• Painting stations: Paint an 8x10 canvas board with whatever you'd like to create.
• Games: Play Strato Chess, card games, board games, and more from our collection.
• Coloring Pages: Just sit and have a relaxing time coloring galactic themed pages.

The Outpost Room will be open during registration hours. It's $25 a day OR you can get a weekend pass for $50! See the Autograph table in the vendors room to receive a wristband.

Painting Parties

PAINTING PARTIES in the OUTPOST ROOM
Join us for a fun and relaxing evening as you embrace your creative self and paint a Trek-themed painting on a 12x16" canvas, with all supplies provided. Certified Instructor Ed Mueller of ArtParty4U will be on hand to guide you step-by-step through this painting. These are a great memento of the convention and they’re suitable for framing, gifting, or even having autographed throughout the rest of your convention experience!

Cosplay Contest

COSPLAY CONTEST
The Cosplay Contest is a true highlight of our Trek Vegas convention, and we're excited to launch it in San Francisco! The inspired creativity of the attendees who participate is nothing short of amazing. This is their chance to show off some fantastic and elaborate costumes! Bring your cameras as many cosplayers are open to take pics with you and make great memories.
Set on SATURDAY, the Cosplay Competition takes place in the main theater! Let your creativity shine, come in costume and pump up the experience of STSF: Trek to San Francisco, including a best-in-show $500 gift certificate!
MANDATORY PRE-JUDGING: Please go to the Creation Fine Arts table in the Grand A Vendors Room on Saturday between 12:15pm and 1:45pm for the pre-judging. NOTE: This is the only time for pre-judging. Late entries will not be able to participate. Don’t miss it!

Click here for the rules:

• All entrants must have a convention pass (full convention or Saturday) for STSF: Trek to San Francisco Convention to be eligible to compete.
• Costumes are judged based on craftsmanship of the costume. The Contest is a walk-on only presentation (no skits).
• Costumes must be of original construction (i.e. hand-made by you). Store-bought or “found” items may be incorporated into your costume, but the full costume cannot have been purchased or made by someone else.
• Any pre-existing materials used in your costume should show a significant amount of modification.
• Costumes must be related to the Trek universe (i.e. re-creations of a character/costume or inspired original designs).
• All contestants must be at least 13 years old to enter. Exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis. Should a contestant be under the age of 13, a legal guardian or parent MUST be present at all times.
• You do not need to be the wearer of your entry, but you must be present with your model during the pre-judging and the contest (should you be a finalist).
• Costumes must provide enough coverage to be worn in public, and should be appropriate for a family-friendly show.
• Your costume must allow you the freedom of movement so that you can go up and down steps.

Creation Entertainment's Focus On Star Trek Cosplay
In addition to our fabulous Cosplay Contest, everyone in attendance is invited to participate in our weekend salute to the world of Star Trek cosplay. New, seasoned or pro cosplayers are welcomed to come dressed in their best, and we have selected themes for each day. Those dressing up in these categories will automatically be entered into a random gift giveaway! Our judges will be looking for you, and note that all level of cosplay will be rewarded so now is the time to get into the world of cosplay with fellow Trekkers.

Themes for Each Day:
FRIDAY: One-Off Star Trek Characters -- memorable characters featured in only one episode of Star Trek
SATURDAY: Any Non-Human Star Trek Character
SUNDAY: Starfleet
