After two amazing seasons, Stranger Things continues to gain its cult status with its ‘80s vibe and throwbacks to Stephen King and Steven Spielberg. We revel in watching the mysteries unfold as the residents of Hawkins, Indiana, try to navigate between the real world and the creepy, other dimensional Upside Down and the malevolent Mind Flayer. We are all eagerly awaiting Season 3 when it premieres in 2019!

We’re excited to bring Stranger Con back to the Chicago area, where fans join in celebrating the hit Netflix show, Stranger Things – and the stars who make it what it is!

The fantastic two-day weekend near the fabulous Windy City will be filled with excitement, music and fun, headlined by Millie Bobby Brown (soon to be seen in the exciting new film Godzilla: The King of Monsters) and co-star Noah Schnapp, who will both be on hand on Sunday, and Caleb McLaughlin, who will be appearing on Saturday.

Master of Ceremonies for STRANGER CON: CHESTER RUSHING

Stranger Con will have a special celebrity host Chester Rushing, aka Tommy H., for the entire weekend!

Over the last several years we have found that having an on-stage celebrity “MC” really has made a big difference in upping the fun for our audience because the MC knows the guests and can introduce them in unique ways, giving everyone an inside look at the show they love. We can't wait to have Chester entertain the crowds all weekend long!



THE COSPLAY CONTEST

Show your creative talents, and impeccable taste in characters, by entering our famous Cosplay Contest! Come dressed as any Stranger Things character or anything with an ‘80s theme, and compete for the audience's applause to win great prizes! Who wouldn't want a Gift Certificate good for Creation merchandise and the adoration of the audience?

Note: Gift certificates are good for one year towards Creation Merchandise Only, excludes convention, autograph and photo-op tickets.



Unlike at larger, Comic-Con-type conventions, we provide a smaller, more personal experience in our vendors room, concentrating on the specific series we are honoring and related merchandise. With fewer vendors, you won't have to wade through seas of merchandise you may not be interested in, but we also want attendees to know that our concentration is on the stage presentations at the event.

For those who wish to be a vendor at the convention, full details are at www.creationent.com/dealers.htm. Table prices vary per genre, and you are given two vendors wristbands per table purchased. Vendor wristbands allow you to come in and out of the vendors room, before the general public (to set up or breakdown after the show).



Put your encyclopedic Stranger Things knowledge to work in our famous Yes/No Trivia Competition. Be one of 90 chosen fans to play one of three rounds and who knows, you could be the last person standing and multiply your winnings! Prove that you are a true trivia master and win our gift certificates to enjoy and spend! This event is generally, though not always, held the first day of the convention.

Note: Gift certificates are good for one year towards Creation Merchandise Only, excludes convention, autograph and photo-op tickets.



Expect a super-charged Karaoke Party with special hostChester Rushing and guest Matty Cardarople! Take a trip back to the ’80s and sing your favorite songs. Even rock a mullet if you dare! Admission is FREE. You DO NOT need a daytime convention ticket to attend this event, just come and dance the night away. 

Please note that this is a GENERAL ADMISSION EVENT, so you do not keep your same seats you had during the day. For those who want, or need, seating at the Karaoke Party, there will be seats available in the rear of the theater.



Stranger Con Family Fun

Do you love to play games as much as we do?

In between the guest panels and other special events, attendees can participate in some fun activities onstage including Charades, Pictionary, Mad Libs and Flash Rap (Stranger Things Season 1 recap). Plus, we’ll have more giveaways!

As well, in the Vendors Room, we will have a fun arts & crafts table, coloring table and photo backdrops! Join in the fun for the whole family!

DETAILS: Please make sure to bring ALL your PDF tickets to the convention as we cannot replace any tickets forgotten or lost. This holds true for all ticket-buyers domestic and outside of The United States as we do not have a will-call or hold ticket desk. Our convention venues and/or host hotel generally have a business office where you can print out your pre-purchased tickets if you have left them home by mistake. Once you present your ticket(s) at registration, photo op areas, or autograph sessions they will be scanned for legitimacy and tickets may be used only one time. If there are duplicate tickets, we honor the first scanned ticket only.

We begin selling tickets with our Gold Package and then open up more ticket options the closer we get to the convention. Each level is limited so act fast, and don't let this opportunity slip through your fingers!

ALL of the prices for admission and autographs and photo ops are considered EARLY BIRD pricing, so they can be raised at any time. Please order as early as you to avoid any price rises and in the case of seating which is reserved you will be picking your seats so the earlier you purchase the better options you’ll have.

As we get closer to the convention we auction off special VIP Experiences for a limited number of fans with our amazing guest stars through our online auction site! Having the chance to get in-person autographs from the stars of STRANGER THINGS is incredibly rare, and we've worked hard to bring it to you! The stars will sign almost any item you bring from home (items that are deemed inappropriate by Creation may not be presented at the autograph table) or you can buy an item at the convention. Tickets are taken off sale on the website the week of the convention. If not sold out, tickets will be available onsite at the convention on a first come, first serve basis!

Note: Guests usually appear ONE day of the convention, so therefore their autographing and/or photo ops take place that day, except occasions which will be noted in the text. If you are not attending all days of the convention it is wise to wait until specific days of appearance are announced before purchasing autographs or photo ops. Make a memory you'll never forget! Your photo will be taken by Creation's magical, talented staff photographers. They take incredible pictures, make the stars comfortable, and are generally beloved by all.

Photo Op tickets DO NOT include admission to the convention and are NEVER INCLUDED IN ANY TICKET PACKAGES. You must purchase photo ops separately AND have an admission ticket for the convention to enter the photo op areas.

Your ONE photo op ticket can include up to TWO fans (1 photo op tix = 2 fans). TWO photo op tickets can include FOUR fans in a photo (2 photo op tix = 4 fans). Airport Transportation:
To / From O’Hare International Airport: 
HYATT SHUTTLE BUS - The hotel offers a complimentary shuttle that runs every 15 minutes from 4:00am to 12:00am and every 30 minutes from 12:00am to 4:00am from the front entrance of the hotel. The Hyatt shuttle bus will pick up at the Bus/Shuttle Center at O’Hare International Airport outside of Door 1. 
TAXI – Taxis are easily accessible outside of the hotel. The hotel doorman will be glad to secure a cab for your trip to the airport or downtown. 

To / From Midway Airport:
AIRPORT EXPRESS - Shuttles operate 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Go Aiport Express is a door-to-door transportation service. They offer shared ride airport shuttles, private van charters, Chicago limousine and car services and group transportation charters. Telephone: 888-284-3826. 
TAXI - Service is available on a first come, first served basis outside of the baggage claim area. All taxis are metered, except for flat fare into downtown Chicago. Approximate cost of a trip from Midway to Hyatt Regency is $65.00.

The show schedule is finalized the week of the convention to accommodate flight itineraries and filming schedules of our celebrities. Convention activities usually start around 10:00 a.m. but may begin earlier depending on schedules. Stage programming also usually ends around 6:00 p.m. or 7:00 p.m. and some autograph sessions begin after stage programming is complete for the day. This can run until 10:00 p.m. so PLEASE PLAN ACCORDINGLY! Signings start later on Sundays, so we recommend that you plan to stay late or stay overnight. The final schedule is always posted one day PRIOR TO THE CONVENTION on either WEDNESDAY (for our three-day conventions) or THURSDAY (for our two-day conventions).

Our best advice is to plan for these time variabilities and check the schedule as soon as it is available.

All guests and scheduling are tentative and subject to change.

Unlike other genre conventions, Creation Entertainment has a strict policy to not "oversell" tickets. Every attendee, no matter what ticket they purchase, will have a seat in the main auditorium to see the major guests and join the main events! We believe in a more personal convention for fans, by fans, that leaves you with memories that last a lifetime!


Creation Entertainment has the right to refuse service to anyone who interferes with the safety and well-being of other patrons, staff, actors, Creation Entertainment and the establishment itself. This includes, but is not limited to, harassment of any kind both in advance and/or at a particular event, illegal activity, unreasonable rowdiness, patrons lacking adequate hygiene and inconsideration to others. Refusal of service shall never be based on race or color, National origin or citizenship status, religion or creed, sex, age, disability, pregnancy or genetic information, Veteran or Military status, marital status, sexual orientation or gender identity, medical condition, political affiliations or activities, or status as a victim of domestic violence, assault or stalking. If you have any issues with anyone, please ask to speak to Adam, Gary or Stephanie immediately. One or more of them is available at each of our conventions and they can be reached through registration or by the convention MC/Host.

 

Here is some pertinent information for you to have about Creation’s conventions, certain policies and more:

ADMISSION TICKETS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE AND NON-EXCHANGEABLE

All guests and scheduling are tentative and subject to change.

Creation Entertainment does not advertise any talent without written permission from the talent or their representation. 

In the event of a guest cancellation or a date change: ALL GUESTS are contracted to appear and all convention contracts specify that appearances are tentative and subject to change as film and television work demands take precedence as well as a personal conflict. Our events will take place whether a specific guest cancels or not and therefore we cannot issue admission ticket or ticket package refunds if a particular guest is not able to attend. If a guest must cancel their appearance at the convention, Creation Entertainment is not responsible for any refunds other than separate guest autograph tickets or photo op tickets. Also in the extremely rare chance that an actor does not finish his or her autographs or photo ops (which has only happened in a hand full of cases and always due to something out of our control), we will only be responsible for the refund of the separate autograph or photo op ticket. We will refund or issue a credit voucher for separately purchased photo ops and autograph tickets for a specific actor if they cancel. 

Please do not come for just one actor. Our events are a celebration of the series and multiple actors from the show attend. If we have a cancelation, we will do our best to book a replacement or we will provide you with a pre-signed photo of an actor not in attendance.

Creation is also not be held responsible for any financial loss associated with the purchase of air tickets or hotel rooms that are not canceled (virtually all hotels offer a 24 or 48-hour cancelation policy, so there should be no jeopardy associated with reservations). We highly recommend you purchase travel insurance for any unforeseen issues.

Harassment at events: Creation does not tolerate any forms of harassment or bullying at its events. The company’s complete policy is stated on each schedule of events that is handed out at each convention. If you witness bad behavior at an event, immediately notify the contact listed on the rules page of your printed schedule. We cannot do anything about it if complaints come after the event is over.

Team Members: We are so grateful and fortunate to have the support of our Team Members, whose continued efforts and dedication help make our conventions possible.  They are available to assist you with any questions you may have about convention events and activities, however if you have an issue, please ask to speak to Management on-site.  Check your schedule rules page to see which manager is on-site at your specific event. If you would like to submit an application to be considered as a Team Member, please visit our Jobs/Team Members section of our website by clicking here.

For those attending our conventions and making travel plans: Please know that many of the headliners who appear onstage on Sunday usually do so towards the later part of the day. Autograph signings can run into the evening until 9:00PM-10:00PM. For those traveling from out of town, we do suggest staying over until Monday in order to get your autographs and the full convention experience. Creation is not responsible for any costs associated with travel for any attendee. We highly suggest you purchase travel insurance in the event that anything should happen.  

We are not responsible for orders that are rejected during processing: On rare occasion, an error may occur during the ordering process that can require the order to be resubmitted. This can include: Incomplete form submission (usually caused by not completing the entire ordering process to the very end); Credit card failures (usually caused when there are not enough funds in an account or the credit card company rejects the charge for any number of reasons including out of state, international or unfamiliar ordering to the customers’ general pattern); or system errors during transmission of the order. 

We suggest buying tickets only through this website: Because all tickets are scanned for use at the convention, we can ONLY allow the first person in using each singular ticket. Autograph and photo op tickets are also scanned for one-time use. PLEASE BE CAREFUL! 

All ticket prices are subject to change at any time, so please order as early as possible. 

Admission ticket packages do not include photo ops: Photo ops must be purchased separately on this site or at the convention (if not sold out). NOTE: You may buy Photo Op and Autograph tickets before buying an Admission ticket, but you need an Admission ticket for the day of your Photo Op or Autograph in order to use the Photo Op and Autograph tickets at the convention (unless the guest has changed days). Alcoholic beverages at the convention: At most of our events, we do not allow alcohol to be present in our function rooms, including the main theatre. This includes daily panel events, meet & greets and any night events. Water stations will be available in the room. We reserve the right to perform bag checks at any time. We reserve the right to deny entrance into any of the events to anyone who appears intoxicated. If there is an instance of alcoholic beverages sold, your ID will be checked by the bartender and any underage customers will not be served any alcoholic beverages. Creation is not responsible for the alcohol consumption of others.

Weapons policy: Please do not bring any weapons to the show. If you are using a prop weapon for a photo op or as part of the cosplay contest, please bring it to registration to get tagged. After your photo op or cosplay contest is over, please do not have your prop weapon on the convention floor at any time. Prop weapons without tags will not be allowed at any time.

Lost or misplaced items: We are not responsible for lost or misplaced items. We cannot replace autograph or photo op tickets that are purchased at the convention, so PLEASE make sure your tickets are kept in a safe place. 

ADA Rules on service animals: This event welcomes service animals as per ADA rules. Service animals perform valuable work or tasks and are trained to provide help directly related to a person's disability. Dogs whose sole function is to provide comfort or emotional support do not qualify as service animals under the ADA and therefore are not permitted at our event. 

Photo taking policy at this convention: We know that taking photos makes the convention even more fun. In the main theatre, photo taking is encouraged but only from your seat. It is unfair to run up to the stage and block the view of others who have paid for reserved seats in front of you. Even if there are empty seats, patrons must sit in the seats they paid for to be fair to everyone. Due to Fire Marshall regulations, everyone must be seated during performances. Please also be courteous to your neighbors when taking pictures. Photo taking is not allowed during autographing sessions nor during photo ops.

Audio or video capture for personal use is allowed except in certain circumstances: Photography and audio or video capture are for personal use only - public dissemination and commercial use strictly prohibited. If there is a time where we cannot allow audio or video capturing, we will advise in advance. LIVE STREAMING IS NOT ALLOWED AT ANY TIME. 

Raffles/Fundraising: Unsanctioned raffles and fundraisers are not allowed at Creation events.

Flashes from phone and cameras occur often during stage presentations: If you are sensitive to such lighting please be advised to take the necessary precautions. For our attendees, please keep flash photography to a minimum.

By attending Creation events, you agree to allow your image to be used on our website and in news documentaries or stories, either filmed by Creation Entertainment or other entities. 

Please do not bring latex balloons of any sort to any of our events: We have had attendees with latex allergies and additionally bursting balloons can be hazardous to people at short range. 

Medical emergencies:  If you have a medical emergency and you do not have a caretaker with you, hotel security or 911 will be called to assist you.  

Creation assumes no responsibility for typographical errors or inaccurate information provided by convention venues. All dates, venues and guests are considered tentative and subject to change. Check back frequently for updates.

If you have an issue over the weekend pertaining to a show that is happening that same weekend, please go in-person to the convention registration desk for assistance.
