Cosplay Rules

We’re excited to host The Game of Thrones Official Fan Convention Cosplay Contest!

Selected finalists will be judged on the quality of their cosplay as well as overall stage presence, with a walk-on only presentation (no skits).

Pre-Judging will take place beforehand [TIME/LOCATION TBD], so just show up in cosplay if you’d like to participate! Please be prepared to spend 1-3 minutes discussing your costume, inspiration and the creation process involved.

Failure to appear in time for pre-judging will result in disqualification from the contest.
Only selected entries from the Pre-Judging portion will move forward to be part of The Game of Thrones Official Fan Convention Cosplay Contest on The King’s Landing main stage [TIME TBD].

A panel of amazing celebrity and expert judges will select winners for the following awards:

3rd Place: Winner receives $150 gift certificate
2nd Place: Winner receives $300 gift certificate
1st Best in Show: Winner receives a $500 gift certificate

NOTE: Gift certificates can be used as value towards Creation-produced merchandise and/or Kit Harington’s autograph and photo op tickets available on-site at the convention.

• Cosplay are judged based on craftsmanship of the costume. Entrants must participate in pre-judging.

• Group entries will be judged as if the entire group were one person.
• Cosplay must provide enough coverage to be worn in public, and should be appropriate for a family-friendly show.
• Your cosplay must allow you the freedom of movement so that you can go up and down steps.
