Admission passes and a la carte autograph/photo op/concert/special event tickets are delivered to you via email in PDF format which you must print out and bring with you.  Most customers should receive their PDFs within 3-5 business days of having placed their order.  Admission PDFs should be brought to convention registration. Autograph PDFs can be used directly at the autograph tables.  Photo Op PDFs may be required to get validated.  Please check the show schedule for instructions regarding Photo Op PDFs.

Back by popular demand, we’re excited to present The Vampire Diaries/Originals Reunion Convention in 2020!

The love and support that we’ve received over the years from our loyal Vampire Diaries and Originals fandom has warmed even the coldest of vampire hearts! Giving attendees the chance to interact with all their favorite TVD stars from both TV series, including the Salvatore brothers, Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley, has been a great pleasure. Plus, at this reunion convention, stars from the current TVD spin-off, Legacies, are also joining the guest list, including Danielle Rose Russell, Matthew Davis, Quincy Fouse and Karen David!

The best part is we are returning to one of our favorite destinations! Being near the great city of Chicago always provides some fun-filled vacation opportunities. Musician/singer/actor Chase Coleman, best known as the werewolf Oliver from The Originals, will also be on hand to co-host with Micah Parker, along with performing with the awesome house band Samurai Fish throughout the weekend. Chase, Micah and the band will be jamming between guest panels and other special events. They are ready to rock this convention!

Karaoke Concert


Ready for the chance to belt out your favorite karaoke songs with hosts Micah Parker and Chase Coleman? Micah and Chase will lead a fun night of karaoke and dancing – and hey, you just might get called up to sing and dance with them! It all happens on FRIDAY NIGHT and admission is FREE.

Please note that this is a FREE GENERAL ADMISSION EVENT, so you do not keep your same seats you had during the day. For those who want or need seating* at the Karaoke Party, there will be seats available in the rear of the theater. If you would like to stand in line early, please check with registration for the lineup time.  Please note, you can only save a spot in line for one other person.

*There will also be a seating section on one side of the stage for VIPs and a section on the other side of the stage for those who are special needs.

Yes/No Trivia


Our Saturday night CELEBRATION concert has always been a giant hit with the TVD/Originals fans! 

The concert features house band SAMURAI FISH and MERCY MODE starring CHASE COLEMAN and MICAH PARKER, along with Karen David! All guest participants are tentative until show time. 

The concert is included in the Gold, Silver or Copper admission packages and you get to keep your same reserved seats that you have during the day. Convention admission passes are not required to purchase a concert ticket or attend the concert. A la carte concert tickets are $35 and can be purchased on our website or on-site at the convention. 

NOTE: If you choose to stand in line early to be in the designated dance area(s), you may only hold one additional place until the doors open. Once the doors open and if your companion is not there, there is no guarantee there will be room left in the dance areas. The dance areas are on a first come, first served basis. When filled, kindly take a seat (either with your reserved seat if you have one of our Gold, Silver or Copper admission passes, or in the general admission area). Thank you!

Cosplay Concert


Here’s another way to show off your creative talents by entering our famous Cosplay Contest! Held on SATURDAY, you can come dressed as any The Vampire Diaries, The Originals or Legacies character or create your own to compete for the audience's applause to win great prizes! It’s a great way to shine in front of the loyal fandom! 

NOTE: Gift certificate prizes are valid for one year from date of issue and can be used towards Creation Merchandise only, and excludes admission passes and a la carte autograph/photo op/concert/special event tickets.

Our conventions provide a more intimate experience, and that extends into the vendor area, to give the fans (and celebrities) a more rewarding show.

Music Video Contest


Are you a talented video editor? A walking encyclopedia of all the exciting moments from The Vampire Diaries who thinks, "These would be awesome set to music?" Here is your chance to flex your creative muscles, and fan knowledge, to compete for prizes at TVD/The Originals Official Convention 2020 shows!

Entries are judged on the following criteria:
• Video, Audio & Editing quality
• Inventiveness
• Song selection & originality
• Humorous submissions are encouraged!

Those videos chosen as the best will be played on screens at the reunion convention!

• One The Vampire Diaries / The Originals music video may be submitted, and only one. 

• All submissions must be on DVD and in a sleeve or jewel case to be accepted. ONLY NTSC FORMATED DVDs WILL BE ACCEPTED... OR: 
• If submitting a flash drive, please make sure all files are compatible with Quicktime. 
• In your submission you must list the specific convention the music video is for. 
• Send your video using an order confirmation or signature required so you know if your video was received.
• Entries are limited to people attending the specific event. This is due to an overwhelming number of submissions. 

• Please keep the submissions under five minutes. 

• Winners are announced at the event. 

• You do not have to be present for the actual showing of your video, but you must claim your award at the show before the end of the weekend or your award will be forfeited. 

• The competition closes 40 days prior to the convention. We will NOT make any exceptions to this. 

• Don't forget about the great supporting cast members of the show! 

• We ask that you do not use footage from shows other than The Vampire Diaries and The Originals

• Entries cannot be returned, and person submitting entry is granting Creation the right to play this entry in perpetuity at Creation events worldwide and/or online at the Creation website(s). Creation does not sell music videos so your entry will never be sold as a commercial product, just presented at our events/online. 

• Do not submit the same video for multiple events. It will not be considered after its first submission. This also goes for videos that have been recycled with only minor changes.

Please make sure to bring ALL your PDF admission passes and a la carte autograph/photo op/concert/special event tickets to the convention as we cannot replace any passes or tickets forgotten or lost. This holds true for all pass and ticket-buyers domestic and outside of the United States as we do not have a will-call or hold desk. Our convention venues and/or host hotel generally have a business office where you can print out your pre-purchased items if needed. Once you present your PDF(s), they will be scanned for legitimacy and PDFs may be used only one time. Some photo op sessions require your PDF to be validated, so please check the schedule for instructions. If there are duplicate PDFs, we will honor the first scanned only.

Admission passes and a la carte tickets are delivered to you via e-mail in PDF format which you must print out and bring with you to convention registration. Customers should receive their PDFs within 3-5 business days of having placed their order. All Convention tickets have a non-refundable $8.50 handling fee charged per item ordered. Concert PDFs should be handed in at registration on the day of the concert to receive a wristband. Please check with registration regarding the time you can redeem your Concert PDF for a wristband.

Weekend Admission Packages vs Single-Day Admission Passes:


The Gold, Silver, Copper and General Admission Weekend Packages are full-convention admission passes that allow you access for the whole weekend. Gold, Silver and Copper include reserved seating and General Admission Weekend passes are not reserved seats but are guaranteed a seat in the General Admission section. You will not need to purchase any additional single-day admission passes if you have a Weekend Package pass.

The Single-Day Admission Passes are admission for the SPECIFIC day you choose to attend the convention. With your single-day admission pass, you’ll be able to see the guest panels and daytime events for the DAY you choose to attend. Preferred single-day are reserved seats that you choose when you purchase your pass on our website. General Admission single-day passes are not reserved seats, but are guaranteed a seat in the General Admission section.


Gold Package


The top-tiered Gold Weekend Admission Package does indeed give you the BEST SEATS IN THE HOUSE! These great admission passes give you a more comprehensive way to attend the convention in true vampire/werewolf style, with choice seats, complimentary autographs and more! Here’s what you get when you go GOLD:

Reserved Seats

Reserve your seat in our main theater for all three days of the convention! Gold Package Holders choose their seats before anyone else, ensuring the best views in the house. These seats are yours exclusively to come and go throughout the weekend!

Priority Pre-registration

Gold also gives you priority registration before any other attendees (and after our small VIP group)! Get first dibs on exclusive official merchandise and any remaining a la carte autograph or photo op tickets, meet & greets or special events. Pre-registration takes place the night before the convention starts and although it’s not mandatory, it gives your convention experience a great jump start!

Complimentary Autographs

You get great in-person autographs from Ian Somerhalder, Paul Wesley, Matt Davis, Karen David, Quincy Fouse, Peyton Alex Smith and Steven Krueger! When you add it up, “Going Gold” is a great deal!
Note: If a celebrity whose autograph is included in Gold must cancel, we work to try and replace with another guest (or multiple guests) who will sign in place of the canceled guest. If we cannot find a guest replacement(s), then we will provide a pre-signed autograph photo of equal or greater value.

Priority Lines

You are in among the first select rows called for all autograph signings included in this package!  Now you'll spend less time in line, and more time relaxing in your seat. We call autographs included in this package row by row, so Gold does have its benefits!

Exclusive Gold Panels

Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley will participate in an exclusive 30-minute panel (SUNDAY), just for Gold ticket package holders! This is a chance for the audience to ask questions and interact with the stars in a smaller setting. This panel is in addition to their regularly scheduled appearances.

Admission to the Saturday Night Concert!

We know that many fans like to give gifts to our celebrity guests and we feel this is a lovely gesture. However, it's impossible to accommodate the large amounts of gifts and we do not have an adequate system to accept them at the many different venues. Having the chance to get in-person autographs from the stars of The Vampire Diaries and The Originals is an amazing experience, and we've worked hard to bring it to you!

The stars will sign almost any item you bring from home or you can buy an item at the convention, but you need to have an item for the celebrity to sign. There will be tons of great photographs of some of the stars in character as well as other collectibles available at the convention that are perfect for signing. Personalizations are at the discretion of the celebrity and may be determined by scheduling or other issues. Items that are deemed inappropriate will not be presented at the autograph table.

CELEBRITY À LA CARTE PHOTO OPS
Create a TVD/Originals memory you’ll never forget! Creation's talented staff photographers take amazing photos of you and the stars, all in a comfortable and lively environment with great music as your soundtrack.

Photo Op tickets DO NOT include admission passes to the convention and are NEVER INCLUDED IN ANY CONVENTION PACKAGES. You must purchase photo ops separately AND have an admission pass for the day of your photo op to redeem your photo op ticket. Your ONE photo op ticket can include up to TWO fans (1 photo op tix = 2 fans in one photo). TWO photo op tickets can include up to FOUR fans in a photo (2 photo op tix = 4 fans in one photo). To / From O’Hare International Airport (ORD):
HYATT SHUTTLE BUS - The hotel offers a complimentary shuttle that runs every 15 minutes from 4:00am to 12:00am and every 30 minutes from 12:00am to 4:00am from the front entrance of the hotel. The Hyatt shuttle bus will pick up at the Bus/Shuttle Center at O’Hare International Airport outside of Door 1.
TAXI – Taxis are easily accessible outside of the hotel. The hotel doorman will be glad to secure a cab for your trip to the airport or downtown.   

To / From Midway Airport (MDW):
AIRPORT EXPRESS - Shuttles operate 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Go Aiport Express is a door-to-door transportation service. They offer shared ride airport shuttles, private van charters, Chicago limousine and car services and group transportation charters. Telephone: 888-284-3826.
TAXI - Service is available on a first come, first served basis outside of the baggage claim area. All taxis are metered, except for flat fare into downtown Chicago. Approximate cost of a trip from Midway to Hyatt Regency is $65.00.

Schedule

The show schedule is finalized the week of the convention to accommodate flight itineraries and filming schedules of our celebrities. Convention activities usually start around 10:00 a.m. but may begin earlier depending on schedules. Stage programming also usually ends around 6:00 p.m. or 7:00 p.m. and some autograph sessions begin after stage programming is complete for the day. This can run until 10:00 p.m. so PLEASE PLAN ACCORDINGLY! Signings start later on Sundays, so we recommend that you plan to stay late or stay overnight. The final schedule is always posted one day PRIOR TO THE CONVENTION on either WEDNESDAY (for our three-day conventions) or THURSDAY (for our two-day conventions).

Our best advice is to plan for these time variabilities and check the schedule as soon as it is available.




Please note: Most often we do pre-registration the night before the convention (Thursday). It is not a necessity, just a convenience, and it gets full convention-goers (those all three days) their credentials, printed schedules, options to get any autograph and photo op tickets still available, and, of course, first crack at souvenirs. We finalize pre-registration and other scheduling when we get closer to the event and know both the guests itineraries and the hotel’s other bookings. Convention activities usually start at approximately 10:00 in the morning. Sometimes autographing runs into the early to mid-evening, so please plan accordingly. The final schedule is always posted by the Wednesday prior to the convention. While we’d like to present it before that time, it is impossible due to the flight itineraries and shooting schedules of our celebrity guests.

WOW, it is hard to believe that we have been running conventions for our fellow fans for so many incredible years and what a ride it has been! Thanks to our fellow fans, we’ve loved bringing the stars direct to their audiences. 

Unlike so many other genre conventions, Creation Entertainment has a strict company policy not to "oversell" our conventions. In other words, every patron, no matter what bracket of admission pass they purchase, will have a seat in the main auditorium where the major guests appear and events take place. 

Creation Entertainment has the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason, without prior notice, especially those who interfere with the safety and well-being of other patrons, staff, actors, Creation Entertainment and the establishment itself. This includes, but is not limited to, harassment of any kind both in advance and/or at a particular event, illegal activity, unreasonable rowdiness, inconsideration to others and patrons lacking adequate hygiene. Refusal of service shall never be based on race or color, National origin or citizenship status, religion or creed, sex, age, disability, pregnancy or genetic information, Veteran or Military status, marital status, sexual orientation or gender identity, medical condition, political affiliations or activities, or status as a victim of domestic violence, assault or stalking.

 

What you should know...

Here is some pertinent information for you to have about Creation’s conventions, certain policies and more:

ADMISSION PASSES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE AND NON-EXCHANGEABLE

All guests and scheduling are tentative and subject to change.

Creation Entertainment does not advertise any talent without written permission from the talent or their representation. 

In the event of a guest cancellation or a date change: ALL GUESTS are contracted to appear and all convention contracts specify that appearances are tentative and subject to change as film and television work demands take precedence as well as a personal conflict. Our events will take place whether a specific guest cancels or not and therefore we cannot issue admission pass refunds if a particular guest is not able to attend.  If a guest must cancel their appearance at the convention, Creation Entertainment is not responsible for any refunds other than the a la carte specific-to-the-guest autograph or photo op tickets as another guest will be booked as a replacement in signing for Gold/Silver or a pre-signed photo will be provided if a replacement signer is not possible. Also, in the extremely rare chance that an actor does not finish his or her autographs or photo ops (which has only happened in a hand full of cases due to something out of our control), we will only be responsible for the refund of the a la carte autograph or photo op ticket if not redeemed. We will refund or issue a credit voucher only for a la carte photo ops and autograph tickets for a specific actor if they cancel.   

Please do not come for just one actor. Our events are a celebration of the series and multiple actors from the show attend. If we have a cancelation, we will do our best to book a replacement or we will provide our Gold/Silver patrons with a pre-signed photo of the actor not in attendance if the canceled actor was signing for Gold/Silver.

Creation is also not be held responsible for any financial loss associated with the purchase of air tickets or hotel rooms that are not canceled (virtually all hotels offer a 24 or 48-hour cancelation policy, so there should be no jeopardy associated with reservations). We highly recommend you purchase travel insurance for any unforeseen issues.  

Harassment at events: Creation does not tolerate any forms of harassment or bullying at its events. The company’s complete policy is stated on each schedule of events that is handed out at each convention.  If you witness bad behavior at an event, immediately notify the contact listed on the rules page of your printed schedule and there is Creation staff present at all times.  We cannot do anything about complaints that come after the event is over.

Team Members: We are so grateful and fortunate to have the support of our Team Members, whose continued efforts and dedication help make our conventions possible.  They are available to assist you with any questions you may have about convention events and activities, however if you have an issue, please ask to speak to Management on-site.  Check your schedule rules page to see which manager is on-site at your specific event. If you would like to submit an application to be considered as a Team Member, please visit our Jobs/Team Members section of our website by clicking here.

For those attending our conventions and making travel plans: Please know that many of the headliners who appear onstage on Sunday usually do so towards the later part of the day. Autograph signings can run into the evening until 9:00PM-10:00PM. For those traveling from out of town, we do suggest staying over until Monday in order to get your autographs and the full convention experience. Creation is not responsible for any costs associated with travel for any attendee. We highly suggest you purchase travel insurance in the event that anything should happen.  

We are not responsible for orders that are rejected during processing: On rare occasion, an error may occur during the ordering process that can require the order to be resubmitted. This can include: Incomplete form submission (usually caused by not completing the entire ordering process to the very end); Credit card failures (usually caused when there are not enough funds in an account or the credit card company rejects the charge for any number of reasons including out of state, international or unfamiliar ordering to the customers’ general pattern); or system errors during transmission of the order. 

We suggest buying admission passes and a la carte tickets only through this website: Because all PDFs are scanned for use at the convention, we can ONLY allow the first person in using each singular PDF. Autograph and photo op PDFs are also scanned for one-time use. PLEASE BE CAREFUL!

All admission pass and a la carte ticket prices are subject to change at any time, so please order as early as possible.   

Admission pass packages do not include photo ops: Photo ops must be purchased separately on this website or at the convention (if not sold out). NOTE: You may buy an a la carte Autograph and/or Photo Op ticket(s) before buying an Admission pass, but you need an Admission pass for the day of your Autograph or Photo Op in order to use the Autograph and Photo Op tickets at the convention (unless the guest has changed days). Please buy an Admission pass for the day of your Photo Op or Autograph as soon as you can as we can’t guarantee Admission passes won't sell out before the show. Please, absolutely, do not ask for exceptions to this rule.

Alcoholic beverages at the convention: At most of our events, we do not allow alcohol to be present in our function rooms, including the main theatre. This includes daily panel events, meet & greets and any night events. Water stations will be available in the room. We reserve the right to perform bag checks at any time. We reserve the right to deny entrance into any of the events to anyone who appears intoxicated. If there is an instance of alcoholic beverages sold, your ID will be checked by the bartender and any underage customers will not be served any alcoholic beverages. Creation is not responsible for the alcohol consumption of others.

Weapons policy: Please do not bring any weapons to the show. If you are using a prop weapon for a photo op or as part of the cosplay contest, please bring it to registration to get tagged. After your photo op or cosplay contest is over, please do not have your prop weapon on the convention floor at any time. Prop weapons without tags will not be allowed at any time.

Lost or misplaced items: We are not responsible for lost or misplaced items. We cannot replace a la carte Autograph or Photo Op tickets that are purchased at the convention, so PLEASE make sure your PDFs and hard tickets are kept in a safe place. 

ADA Rules on service animals: This event welcomes service animals as per ADA rules. Service animals perform valuable work or tasks and are trained to provide help directly related to a person's disability. Dogs whose sole function is to provide comfort or emotional support do not qualify as service animals under the ADA and therefore are not permitted at our event. 

Photo taking policy at this convention: We know that taking photos makes the convention even more fun. In the main theatre, photo taking is encouraged but only from your seat. It is unfair to run up to the stage and block the view of others who have paid for reserved seats in front of you. Even if there are empty seats, patrons must sit in the seats they paid for to be fair to everyone. Due to Fire Marshall regulations, everyone must be seated during performances. Please also be courteous to your neighbors when taking pictures. Photo taking is not allowed during autographing sessions nor during photo ops.

Audio or video capture for personal use is allowed except in certain circumstances: Photography and audio or video capture are for personal use only - public dissemination and commercial use strictly prohibited. If there is a time where we cannot allow audio or video capturing, we will advise in advance. LIVE STREAMING IS NOT ALLOWED AT ANY TIME. 

Raffles/Fundraising: Unsanctioned raffles and fundraisers are not allowed at Creation events.

Flashes from phone and cameras occur often during stage presentations: If you are sensitive to such lighting please be advised to take the necessary precautions. For our attendees, please keep flash photography to a minimum.

By attending Creation events, you agree to allow your image to be used on our website and in news documentaries or stories, either filmed by Creation Entertainment or other entities. 

Please do not bring latex balloons of any sort to any of our events: We have had attendees with latex allergies and additionally bursting balloons can be hazardous to people at short range. 

Medical emergencies:  If you have a medical emergency and you do not have a caretaker with you, hotel security or 911 will be called to assist you.  

Creation assumes no responsibility for typographical errors or inaccurate information provided by convention venues. All dates, venues and guests are considered tentative and subject to change. Check back frequently for updates.

If you have an issue over the weekend pertaining to a show that is happening that same weekend, please go in-person to the convention registration desk for assistance. Requests sent to Customer Service over the weekend may not be received until the Monday after the convention is over.
